It is with regret that I advise all personnel that Retired Senior Firefighter Ron TURNER (Reg No 1378) passed away on Monday 26th November.
Ron joined the MFB on the 15th March 1957 and retired on 1st April 1991 after serving the Brigade and the Community for 34 years. On joining the Brigade he served at Headquarters for a brief period before transferring to FS 2 on “C” Platoon where he served the majority of his career. Ron was an active member of the Fire Services Museum in his retirement.
A funeral to celebrate Ron’s life will be held the Crick Chapel, Fawkner Crematorium, on MONDAY 3rd December commencing at 14:00 hours.
