$40,000 to FireLegacy in 2020/2021
FireLegacy is a stand alone charity operated by the Board of the Firefighters Charity Fund. It is a “necessitous circumstances” charity which allows the FFCF to directly assist members of our community in financial need due to the costs of serious illness and injury. Over the last twelve months, $40,000 of financial support has been provided.
FireLegacy operates under strict confidentiality with it’s recipients and has been able to assist with 66 grants totaling over $200,000 since its inception. Most grants are related to assisting people with the costs associated with cancer treatment and support, as well as mental health, serious accidents and burns.
