It is with regret that I advise all personnel that Retired Senior Firefighter Ian HAY (Reg No 1901) passed away on the 3rd April 2012 after a lengthy battle with illness.
Ian joined the MFB on 25 May 1962 and retired on 20 August 1987 after serving the Brigade and the Community for over 25 years. After serving at FS 1 Ian transferred to FS 48 before moving into Western District where he was stationed at FS 47 and then FS 51 where he spent the majority of his service. At various times he also served at FS 3 and FS 5.
