A lot has happened since the start of 2020, but to put a positive light on this time the Firefighters Charity Fund would like to share a few stories of all the great work and donations we’ve made.
Over $402,000 has been donated to over 60 different charities in this time. An amazing figure! We’ve donated to causes supporting cancer research, children’s health, mental health, burns treatment (our core areas) as well as homelessness, women’s health, indigenous health, bushfire recovery and the environment.
The Firefighters Charity Fund is funded by small weekly payroll deductions from participating FRV firefighters and staff. We would like to thank them for their contributions and we hope they also enjoy seeing where their contributions have gone … “everyone giving a little will mean a lot”.
