It is with regret that I advise all personnel that retired Senior Firefighter Edmund (Ted) Hudson (Reg No 1022) passed away on Tuesday 18 September.
Ted joined the MFB in August 1953 and retired in September 1985 after serving the Brigade and the Community for 32 years. On joining the Brigade he served at Headquarters for a brief period before transferring to “C” Platoon at FS 50 when he spent almost 30 years.
In the true sense of the fire service “family” tradition, Ted’s sons, retired SO Steve Hudson and LFF Paul Hudson followed in their father’s footsteps. Paul is currently stationed at FS 51 on “D” Platoon.
A funeral to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at the Ballarat Funeral Centre, 1114 Doveton Street North, Ballarat North on TUESDAY September 25 at 10:30 hours.
