It is with regret that I advise all personnel that Retired Senior Firefighter Michael O’LOUGHLIN (Reg No 3211) passed away, at his home in Brisbane, recently after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Michael joined the MFB on 24 February 1978 and, due to health problems, retired on 30 January 1987 after almost 9 years of dedicated service to the MFB and the community.
From Recruit Course 27 Michael transferred to Western District where he served at FS 51, FS 47, FS 41, FS 40 and FS 44 and always on “B” Platoon
